Oneself Neurodiversity Team

Dr Rich Wilkes

Dr Rich Wilkes followed a vocational calling to help people and believed this could best be achieved through talking therapies. He has always taken a heartfelt interest in human experience and has wanted to witness, with compassion, the growth of individuals navigating trying and difficult situations.
Following qualification, Dr Wilkes worked in Adult Mental Health Services for approximately 12 years before moving into Neurodevelopmental Services, where he has worked for the past five and a half years. Much of his learning during this time has focused on trauma, anxiety, grief, and depression, as well as autism and ADHD.

He has had the privilege of leading NHS teams and shaping their clinical practice as both a Principal and Consultant Psychologist. In addition, he has taught NHS staff, supervised professionals across various disciplines, and assessed and provided therapy to clients of all ages and backgrounds.
